On St. Nicholas Day (December 6), a bunch us of Americans
went to a partially restored palace in Gödöllõ
for their Advent Days celebration. Here are pictures
of our family from (and of) Joanna Foley.
Karen went to visit her friend Rebekah during
fall break last week. Rebekah's mom took this
picture of the jack-o-lantern that they created.
We don't have a camera yet, but we got this picture from our
dear friends Shannon and Jarrod. After a two-year process,
including a lot of paperwork and a lot of difficult waiting,
they adopted Eliza (eh-lee-za) Joy on Tuesday and brought her
home on Wednesday. We are all very excited about this new,
long-expected member of our family-of-the-heart!
Every school starts their year with a school opening ceremony.
At Lea's new high school, the first year students had to wear
ties in the school colors with the school's insignia on it.
Upperclassmen think the ties are silly, but they think the
hats that they had to wear look sillier.
Now that the main square of Vác looks good, sometimes
we have scenes from movies shot here. Tuesday and Wednesday
this week they were doing a scene in a flower stall.
