Coppages in Hungary: Love is Like...

During Valentine's week, Lea's students had to write small essays on love. Here are some of their responses:

Love is like eating chocolate in the dark. You don't know what to expect.
—Tamás
Love is like a strong rope.
—Fanni
Love is like a good emotion, when two people understand and love each other. Or a family, where everybody loves each other, celebrates or spends time together, talking about their feelings honestly to each other.
—Viktória
Love is like a tornado. It twists your life, heart, and your feelings. It can be so strong that you can't resist. So I think it is like a tornado, or like the wind, which just blows next to you, and you feel that you are delighted.
—Levente

Love is like heaven, because if you are in love, you are really happy and you think you will be happy forever with your boy/girlfriend.
But on the other hand, love is like hell, because when you break up with your boy/girlfriend, so the love ends, you feel that this is the end of the world and you feel depressed.
—Kitti

Love is like a tropical island without people, when the sun goes down, and the waves are red. It's very quiet and peaceful.
—Tamás
Love is like a piece of candy. When you start to eat it, it's very delicious and good, but in the end it will melt in your mouth.
Love is like drugs. When you start it's very good but you want more and more. In the end all your life is about that, and you can't live without this.
Love is like music. It relaxes you, and you listen for its voice.
Love is like football. You can score goals, but it doesn't mind if in the end you lose.

—Enikö
Love is like a wonderful girl who is very nice to me.

Love is like home in a storm.

Love has to be honest, sensitive and sensible too, not just the purple or pink fog. —Dóra

Love is like a dog. A dog can be very friendly, but I don't want to be a robber who wants to break in our house. So our dog is our friend and he also saves us. Love is the same: love has two sides: a friendly side and the other side which fights for the people which it loves.
This example is true for tigers, or other big mammals, too: they love their children, but they can kill to save them.
—Balázs
Love is like May. Warm sunny afternoons, but it isn't as unreliable and changeable as April.

Love is like a family including a mother, a father, two little toddlers and a small brown puppy standing in front of a nicely decorated big Christmas tree surrounded by lovely wrapped presents during which the grandma is baking something really delicious that smells great and the children look forward to eating. The mother grabs one of the little children and hugs the other with her other hand kissing both of their heads.
—Hanna
Love is like when you look at your girlfriend (or a nice girl) and you feel warm inside in your heart.
Love is like when birds are flying over the blue sky so free, because when people are really happy, because they really love somebody, they seem like they're flying in their happiness.
